Party wall awards
It is recommended under the party wall act 1996 to prepare a schedule of condition prior to carrying out work to an existing party wall, structure and/or adjacent excavation work.
A properly prepared schedule of condition before work commences can:
- Protect against potential claims for damages after work has begun
- Establish any liability and the extent of remedial work needed in the event of damage being caused as a result of the work
