Project Work

When carrying out construction work it is good practice to record the condition of any existing/neighbouring structures and properties before any work is carried out.

A properly prepared schedule of condition before work commences can:

  • Protect against potential claims for damages after work has begun
  • Be used to establish any liability and the extent of remedial work needed in the event of damage or deterioration being caused

Jonathan did a report for me at the end of August 2024. I had a downstairs bathroom built but I was far from happy with the builders work. I invited Jonathan round to do a full report on the building as it stood at that time. I then applied to the small claims court to recoup £10k to correct the work I wasn't happy with and finish off my new bathroom. Today was the hearing at the small claims court. The hearing lasted almost two hours and at the end of the hearing the judge ruled in my favour. I was awarded £10k and the judge went on to say my win was all down to your report. She said it was well written, the content was perfect and the report made it very easy for her to rule in my favour. So a great big thank you Jonathan. Service: Expert Witness Reports
