Drone building surveys

By using a drone, inspection times, costs and safety risks can all be significantly reduced.

Our drone is flown by a licensed pilot who is also a chartered building surveyor. This means we are one of the few practices in the UK that can survey the building with a drone, rather than just reviewing photographs at a desk.

All building surveys, maintenance inspections and schedules of condition on commercial and industrial buildings should include a thorough inspection of the roof and the high-level fabric of the building. Accessing these difficult to reach and fragile structures without a drone is time-consuming and expensive.

Key benefits of using a drone are:

  • Significantly reduced access costs
  • Issues are instantly identified and quantified
  • Highlights building defects which would otherwise not be identified
  • Improves client presentations and reports
  • Eliminates risks associated with working at height
  • Large areas can be covered, viewing specific sections of the building from a variety of angles
  • Quick deployment with minimal disruption and inconvenience
  • Higher quality images tailored to specific client needs

Our experienced drone pilot is fully insured and has all relevant permissions from the civil aviation authority with all flights planned and carried out with strict pre-flight checks and risk assessments.

We use our drone for several reports, free of charge as part of our service, or you can specifically request a drone flight for any specific images you may require.
